FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Whether you’re new to group riding or a seasoned road warrior, this page has everything you need to know about the Weekend Warrior Motorcycle Riding Club—who we are, how we ride, where we go, and what to expect on our adventures. We’re a friendly, safety-first community exploring the best roads across NJ, PA, and NY, with rides and excursions designed for real connection and real fun. Dive into the FAQs below to see how to join, what bikes we welcome, and how our rides work—no rider left behind.
CLUB & MEMBERSHIP
Who are the Weekend Warriors?
We are a club of motorcycle riders who enjoy weekend adventure rides across NJ, PA, NY. We are a mighty group of 20-70 year olds with bikes of all kinds. Most of us live in New Jersey, but many come from far parts of the world. We're a friendly group looking to find new roads and make new friends.
How many riders?
Our club is small but growing. We currently hover around 30 active members.
What riders do you accept into the Club?
All riders are welcome to join. Beginners must have at least 500 miles. You must be able to handle yourself on a motorcycle (riding slow, riding fast, filling gas). Everyone must agree to follow club rules.
Can I still join if I've never ridden in a group?
Yes, we will teach you how to ride in a group. We emphasize having fun AND being safe on the road. We always ride staggered. We leave space between motorcycles. We communicate via Cardo and hand signals. We stop if someone has an issue. We don't leave anyone behind. We support one another on and off the road.
Are all motorcycles welcome?
Yes, we have sports bikes, adventure bikes, cruisers, touring, etc. You must already own a motorcycle to join. The vehicle must be street legal. You must have insurance.
What benefits do I get from my membership?
Membership comes with many benefits. First, you won't waste your precious weekends. We only get 52 in a year, and even less that are ride-worthy. You won't ride alone. You won't ride the same routes over and over. You join an active rider & support community. You can join events off-season. You get to club perks and bonus discounts (see JOIN page).
RIDES
What can I expect on your rides?
We ride through scenic roads, stop to explore, socialize, and dine together. We cruise and stop as a group - no man or woman left behind. We follow the laws of the state we're in. No exceptions. We design rides to avoid/minimize tolls, ferries, highways. Come ready to socialize and you'll have a great time.
Where do you start?
Our starting location may vary across Central Jersey from New Brunswick to Trenton. HQ is in Princeton, NJ.
Where do you ride?
Our rides mostly cover New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with a revv of New York.
How long is the typical ride?
Our average ride starts at 9 am and ends at 5 pm with about 3-5 hours of drive time, plus many stops in between. We typically stop for gas, for lunch, for sightseeing and sometimes just to relax and stretch our legs. Our shorter rides can be 1-2 hours drive time. Our longest rides can be up to 8 hours drive time. Multi-day excursions can be even more.
What's the difference between a ride and an excursion?
A ride is a one day event. An excursion is a multi-day event, typically riding somewhere far and staying overnight. We plan to have 2+ rides per month between April and November. We plan to have 2+ excursions per year.
How do excursions work?
Only club members can join our excursions for safety reasons. Excursions are optional. Club members sign up through this website many weeks, if not months, prior to the excursion. Our website contains all the relevant details including location, dates, cost, drive time, events, sights seen, and beyond so you can select the excursion that's right for you. Excursion packages only cover the cost of accommodation(s) and event(s) listed. For example, gas, riding gear, and other supplies are not covered.
